Jiri Hubalek got yanked just 63 seconds into the game, catching an earful from Iowa State basketball coach Greg McDermott when he reached the bench.

"Don't go word for word," McDermott told Hubalek when the senior center was asked what McDermott had said to him.

Hubalek responded to the lecture, scoring a season-high 15 points in a 56-47 victory against Iowa on Saturday at Hilton Coliseum.

"I didn't do my job," Hubalek said of his defensive slip that allowed Iowa freshman Jarryd Cole score the game's first basket. "Coach wanted me to do my job next time."
